SAES-L-102 Regulated Vendors List for Valves

SAES-L-102 is a Saudi Aramco Engineering Standard that provides a list of approved valve manufacturers for SAMS Class 04 materials. The standard outlines the requirements for materials, manufacturing processes, quality control, and inspection that a manufacturer must meet to be included on the list.

The purpose of the regulated vendors list is to ensure that the valves procured by Saudi Aramco are of high quality and meet the required specifications. The list is regularly updated and maintained by the Saudi Aramco Materials Supply Department (MSD).

Valve manufacturers who want to be included on the regulated vendors list must apply for approval and undergo an evaluation process that includes a review of their quality management system, manufacturing capabilities, and past performance. The evaluation process also includes a technical review of the manufacturer’s valves, including material specifications, design, and testing.

This standard specifies that products from manufacturers who are not listed in the SAP system cannot be procured without approval. If an alternate manufacturer is proposed, there must be documentation explaining why they would be a better choice than the listed manufacturers. If the request is denied, the approval authority does not have to explain why.

The manufacturer listings in the SAP system should be interpreted in the following ways:

• Manufacturers listed without limitations can provide all products in the specified category.
• Manufacturers listed with limitations can only provide the product that meets the limitation, and if they are noted as being manufactured “Under License,” only products made under the terms of the license agreement are acceptable.
• Manufacturers listed with a specific location can only provide products made in that location or area.

Acceptable Manufacturers Listing

This is a list of approved manufacturers for specific types of valves for Saudi Aramco. The list includes the equipment description, 9COM code, CCC code, and specification number for each valve. The SAP system should be consulted for the latest approved vendors.

If a product from a manufacturer not listed in the SAP system is desired, approval must be obtained by providing documentation explaining how the alternate manufacturer would better serve Saudi Aramco over the manufacturers listed in the SAP system. It’s important to note that if the request to procure from an alternate manufacturer is not approved, the approval authority is not required to present the reasons for the refusal.
