System Test Plan of Plant Paging System

  1. The Contractor shall prepare and submit a comprehensive test specification and diagnostic instructions for the Owner’s approval. The specification shall include testing of the total system performance requirements, each specified function, and all inputs and outputs. These instructions shall describe the test program content and detailed step by step test procedures, including the equipment required to test the furnished system.
  2. The test and diagnostic instructions shall be precise and up to date. Any changes made to the system that affect the test and diagnostic procedures shall be incorporated into the
    instructions.
  3. The Contractor shall prepare and submit for the Owner’s approval a comprehensive system test plan. The system test plan shall define the scope of tests required to ensure that each function specified, each hardware subsystem or unit meets applicable technical, operational, and performance requirements called out in this specification. In  addition, The Contractor shall establish detailed acceptance criteria for testing of the Site Personnel Paging System. This test plan shall cover the Factory Acceptance Test/Staging and Start-up & Commissioning test plans for the complete system.

Plant Paging System Utilities

The following utilities shall be available for the plant paging system and associated equipment:  230 V, 60 HZ, from UPS

  • Manually selectable 127/230Vac power supply units/equipment shall not be used.

Plant Paging System Training

  1. The Contractor shall provide at least one training class for the Owner’s personnel. As a minimum, the training class shall cover configuration and maintenance of the system. The Contractor shall also present any additional subjects that he deems necessary for proper operation and maintenance of the system.
  2. Training shall emphasize those areas of concern that are unique to the installation, such as electrostatic discharge, dust contamination, lightning strike damage prevention, and exposure to high chemical-content spray and mist.
  3. The Contractor shall provide a training plan for the respective radio system training and provide training materials for a minimum of 10 students.
