1. PURPOSE
1.1 This fabrication and erection specification defines details necessary to fabricate and install field attachments to a cold box.
2. scope
2.1 This specification applies to all cold boxes and circular insulation enclosures (cans).
2.2 Fabrication Scope: All fabrication detailed in this specification shall be the responsibility of the field mechanical contractor unless noted otherwise in the mechanical fabrication specification.

4. MATERIALS
4.1 Materials listed in this document are based on ASTM and ASME.
4.2 Any Material or Size Substitutions shall be approved in writing by a representative of Air Products Cold Box Engineering
4.3 All materials shall be oxygen cleaned (Class AA).
4.4 Cold box connection sizes are DN mm (NPS in).
4.5 Maximum pressure rating for components of Table 1 is 99.3 bar g (1440 psig) at -198° to +38°C (‑325° to +100°F). This pressure rating might be further limited by other components (e.g., valves, regulators), piping specifications, and pressure test procedures.
