  1. SCOPE

2.1       This specification applies to all cold boxes and circular insulation enclosures (cans) globally.

2.2       Fabrication Scope

2.2.1   All fabrication detailed in this specification shall be the responsibility of the cold box assembler, including the fit-up of items removed for shipping (see project-specific cold box fabrication specification).

2.2.2   Quantities of closed-cell foam tape, casing seals, bands, PTFE sheet, countersunk machine screws, mineral wool, and blanket material are included in the cold box consolidated bill of material.

2.3       Use of details for circular insulation enclosures (cans).

All references to panel in Section 10 details will be the can wall.

Details D001, D002, D014, D015, D016, D017, and D040 in Section 10 might need forming to fit the shape of the can.
