FLOW COMPUTER CONFIGURATION CHECK PROCEDURE

Scope
This test involves manually checking the observed value of each flow
computer location against the value recorded on the Flow Computer
Master Configuration Listing.

Frequency As needed
Procedure PREPARATIONS:

Give a brief description of the test in the Metering Log Book.

Record the results of the test on the Flow Computer Master
Configuration Listing. Check that the tag number and serial number of
the flow computer being tested agree with those shown on the master
listing.

PROCEDURE:

The flow computer configuration shall be checked using the following
procedure:

a) Obtain the latest revision of the Flow Computer Master
Configuration Listing for the flow computer to be tested.
b) Sequentially check the value displayed in each flow computer
location and compare with the value recorded on the master
listing. Note any discrepancies.
c)
Inform the Operations Supervisor as to necessary course of
action if any significant discrepancies are noted.
d)
If the observed values and the recorded values match exactly
then the test is complete.
e)
If the observed and recorded values do not match, corrective
action may be required. This primarily involves determining the
correct parameter values. Ensure the correct values are input to
the flow computer and recorded on the configuration listing.
f) 0nce the observed and recorded values match, or do not match
for an acceptable reason, sign and date the Flow Computer
Master Configuration Listing (or create a new one, as
necessary).
g) Enter details of all tests in the Metering Log Book.
