Description:

The SmartLine family of transmitters, including gauge pressure, differential pressure, and absolute pressure transmitters, is designed around a high-performance piezo-resistive sensor. This sensor integrates multiple sensors, allowing for process pressure measurement, on-board static pressure (for DP models), and temperature compensation measurements. This integration ensures the best total performance available and makes the ST 800 transmitters suitable for replacing almost any competitive transmitter on the market.

Unique Indication/Display Options:
The ST 800 transmitters feature a modular design that accommodates different display options. There are two display options available:

  1. Basic Alphanumeric LCD Display Features:
  • Modular design that can be added or removed in the field
  • Adjustable display positions (0, 90, 180, & 270 degrees)
  • Configurable measurement units (Pa, KPa, MPa, KGcm2, Torr, ATM, inH2O, mH2O, bar, mbar, inHG, FTH2O, mmH2O, mm HG, & psi)
  • 2 lines with 16 characters (4.13H x 1.83W mm)
  • Square root output indication (√)
  1. Advanced Graphics LCD Display Features:
  • Modular design that can be added or removed in the field
  • Adjustable display positions (0, 90, 180, & 270 degrees)
  • Standard and custom measurement units available
  • Up to eight display screens with three formats (Large PV with Bar Graph or PV with Trend Graph)
  • Configurable screen rotation timing (1 to 30 seconds)
  • Separate setting for display Square Root capabilities from the 4-20mA output signal
  • Unique “Health Watch” indication for instant visibility of diagnostics
  • Multiple language capability (EN, DE, FR, IT, ES, RU, TR, CN & JP)

Diagnostics:

SmartLine transmitters provide digitally accessible diagnostics, which help in providing advanced warning of possible failure events. This aids in minimizing unplanned shutdowns and reducing overall operational costs.

Configuration Tools:
There are several configuration options available for the SmartLine transmitters:

  1. Integral Three Button Configuration Option:
  • Suitable for all electrical and environmental requirements
  • Transmitter and display configuration can be done via three externally accessible buttons
  • Optional zero/span capabilities can also be accessed through these buttons with or without a display option.
  1. Handheld Configuration
  • SmartLine transmitters support two-way communication and configuration between the operator and the transmitter
  • Designed and tested for compliance with communication protocols, allowing operation with any standards-compliant handheld configuration device
  1. Personal Computer Configuration:
  • Honeywell’s SCT 3000 Configuration Toolkit enables easy configuration of Digitally Enhanced (DE) instruments using a personal computer as the configuration interface
  • Field Device Manager (FDM) Software and FDM Express are also available for managing HART and Fieldbus device configurations.

System Integration:

SmartLine transmitters communicate using protocols that meet current published standards for HART/DE/Fieldbus. Integration with Honeywell’s Experion PKS offers advantages such as transmitter messaging, maintenance mode indication, tamper reporting, FDM Plant Area Views with health summaries, and Experion testing for compatibility assurance.

The STD800 and STD820 SmartLine differential pressure transmitters are designed to provide high accuracy, stability, and flexibility for pressure measurement applications. They offer advanced features, diagnostics, and compatibility to meet demanding requirements while allowing for easy configuration and integration into control systems.
