General

Delivered equipment and material shall be free of damage.

Air Terminal devices

All air system supply and return grilles shall be furnished in accordance with drawings and specifications, and mounted at locations shown on drawings.
All materials in return air plenums shall be noncombustible or limited combustible and shall meet the requirements of Section 2.3.10 of NFPA 90A.

Volume Dampers

Type of Volume dampers furnished shall be in accordance with Drawings and Specifications

Duct Heater

  1. Type of electrical heater (slip in and flanged type) provided shall be in accordance with Contract Specification and approved shop drawings.
  2. Duct Heaters installed in the air duct shall be identified* as suitable for the installation. (NFPA 70 Para 424.57)
  3. Recognizable as suitable for the specific application by a qualified testing laboratory (listing and labeling).”
  4. Duct Heaters closer than 1.2 m (4 ft) to the heat pump or air conditioner shall have the duct heater identified as suitable for such installation and so marked (NFPA 70 Para 424.61)
  5. Duct Heaters used with air conditioners or other air-cooling equipment that could result in condensation of moisture shall be identified as suitable for use with air conditioners (NFPA 70 Para 424.62)
