Receiving

  1. Contractor shall visually inspect all incoming material (filter and applicable items) for damage.
  2. Filter type, efficiency, and sizes shall be as specified in Construction Specifications
  3. Air filters shall be listed as Class I or II in compliance with UL-900. (UMC Para 402.3).
    Exception:
    1- Filters serving a guest room or dwelling units need not to be listed
    2-Evaporated pads in evaporative cooler. “
  4. Casing filter mounts or filters shall have seals to prevent air by pass
  5. For HVAC systems of Communication Facilities the fresh air make-up filters (where fresh air make up is used) shall have a minimum of 25% dust spot efficiency and the internal air recirculation filters shall have a pre-filter with a minimum of 25% dust spot efficiency and a final filter with a minimum of 60% dust spot efficiency.

Handling, Storage and Preservation

Verify that approved procedures for handling, storage and preservation lists all the required inspection schedules for maintaining the quality of the filters.
