Receiving

1. Manufacturer and / or vendor shall furnish a declaration identifying the refrigerant by standard ” R-” designation and stating that it meets the ARI standard 700-93 in purity (UMC Para 1102.2)
2. Refrigerant shall be of the type listed in the attached table (Table 11-A ). See attachment No. 1 (UMC Section 1102)”

Handling, Storage and preservation

1. Liquefied gas compressed gas containers, except those designed for use in a horizontal position and all nonliquified flammable gases containers shall be stored in a “”valve end up”” upright position.
   Exception:
   1- Containers with a water volume less than 1.3 gallons (5 L) are allowed to be stored horizontally
   2- Containers containing nonflammable gases or containers containing nonliquified flammable gases, which have been secured to a pallet for transportation purpose. (UMC Section 1124 / UFC Para 7402.1.1).
2. Verify that approved procedures for handling, storage and preservation lists all the required inspection schedules for maintaining the quality of the containers.
