- Drinking Fountain shall be installed in a manner than can afford easy access for maintainance / repair and cleaning. Where practical all pipes from fixture shall run on the nearest wall.
- Where a Drinking Fountain comes in contact with a wall or floor the joint between the drinking fountain and the wall or floor shall be made water tight.
- Drinking Fountains that are not manufactured with an integral air gap drain, shall be installed with an indirect waste connection.
- Drinking Fountains, shall be approved (acceptable to the Authority Having Jurisdiction) angle-jet type and shall be provided with an adequate supply of water under pressure
- Spillage, overflow, drainage or wastewater from drinking fountain shall be discharged to the sewerage system through approved (acceptable to the Authority Having Jurisdiction) drains
- Connection between dissimilar metals shall be by means of a dielectric or insulating union.
