Cloud mobility is a process of optimizing the resources and costs associated with different cloud services, including private and public cloud services. This emerging trend enables the migration of workloads across different cloud platforms and facilitates the execution of customer requirements and tasks in a cloud environment.

Example of Cloud Mobility

Let’s take an example of a consumer organization that has put its resources at cloud C1. As C1 is not providing good services, the organization decides to move to a different cloud service provider C2. In this scenario, cloud mobility helps to move resources across different cloud services with ease. Moreover, C1 and C2 can work together as a distributed cloud environment.

Types of Cloud Mobility :

# Weak Mobility

Weak mobility in cloud computing allows the code to migrate through networks. This type of cloud mobility does not enable the code to retain its execution states, however it may have initial data assigned.

Strong mobility in cloud computing permits the code and execution state to start again at a new resource.

Overview of Mobile Cloud Framework:

Mobile cloud framework is a system wherein workloads, applications, and resources can be relocated from one server to another as per the requirements of a new job. This process of mobility ensures that the new job is processed in the vacated server(s).
