Marking | ASME B16.47 (MSS SP-25). Marking shall also include the schedule or weight class or wall thickness and the Commodity Code. Flanges shall be marked by clearly die low stress stamping the outer ring of the flange. Also see General Piping Material Purchase Specification. |
Protection | Flanges shall be delivered free from corrosion or oxidation. A protective coating of light oil or varnish corrosion inhibitor may be used. This inhibitor shall be easily removable, and the supplier shall state with his quotation the method for removal. |
