| Pre -Inspection meeting | Verify Company approval of Manufacturer Inspection and test Plan |
| Product Design Drawing | Check for approval by company engineer. |
| Design Type Tests: | Witnessed and certified by independent agency. |
| a) Hydrostatic Design Stress & Pressure Ratings | Hydrostatic strength shall be determined in accordance with ASTM D2992 procedure A or B. Pressure rating calculations per AWWA-C950-01. |
| b) Chemical Resistance Determination | Shall be carried out per ASTM D3754. |
| c) Long Term Ring Bending Strength | Shall be determined in accordance with AWWA C950-01. |
| d) Flange Pressure Rating | Shall be rated and marked in accordance with ASTM D4024. |
| e) Joint Integrity Test | Shall be in accordance with AWWA C950-01 and ASTM D4161. |
| f) Beam Strength Test | Shall be in accordance with ASTM D2925. |
| Material Test Reports | Per the requirements detailed in 01-SAMSS-034. |
In process inspection & test requirement |
Specification Details / Notes: |
| Pipe Stiffness, Axial Tensile Strength, Hoop Tensile Strength | Per 01-SAMSS-034. Shall be determined in accordance with ASTM D2412 and AWWA C-950-01. Sampling method shall be in accordance with AWWA C950-01. |
| Visual Inspection | Shall be conducted for compliance with table 3 of 01-SAMSS-034. |
| Hydrostatic Leak Testing | Shall be conducted in accordance with AWWA C950-01 to twice the pressure rating. |
| Threads | Shall be per ASME B1.20.1 conforming to ASME B31.3. |
Final inspection & test requirements |

| Dimensions and surface finish | Shall be measured in accordance with ASTM D3567, ASME B46.1. |
| Special Fabrications (Spools) | Shall have a tolerance of + 6 mm, unless otherwise defined in Purchase Order. |
| Flange Bolt Hole Sizing | Shall comply with ASME B16.5 up to 600 mm NPS and AWWA C207 or MSS SP-44 for larger than 600 mm NPS. |
| Marking & Identification Tagging | Shall be permanent including markings specified in 01-SAMSS-034. |
| Crating and End Protectors | Per 01-SAMSS-034. |
| Potable Water Certification | Shall be in accordance with NSF 14 and or NSF 61 or approved equal (as approved Standard Chairman) |
| Fire Water Certification | Per Factory Manual (FM) or approved equal agency (as approved by the Standard Chairman) |
Notes:
- May only be waived by the responsible Saudi Aramco, ASC, or AOC Inspection
- Random witnessing required only, unless otherwise specified by the responsible Inspection
