SAES-M-100Saudi Aramco Building Code
According to SAES-M-100, the Saudi Aramco Building Code (SABC) is constituted by the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) of the International Code Council (ICC) in its entirety, including all amendments, errata, and supplements. The provisions of the SABC, referred to as “this Code,” apply to the design, construction, alteration, moving, demolition, repair, and use of Saudi Aramco (SA) buildings.
The SABC applies to all SA buildings, including those within SA facilities, on SA capital project sites, and at locations covered under a Saudi Aramco Land Use Permit. This includes newly installed, relocated, or renovated buildings at contractor camps/parks.
For buildings with special functions, additional requirements can be found in the standards listed in Special Appendix II of the code. SAES B-014, SAES-B-017, and SAES-B-019 standards are only applicable to buildings and facilities included in the scope of SAES-B-014, Section 1. In case of a conflict between the applicable B Series standards and SAES-M-100, the B Series standards take precedence.
