3 Addenda

The following section, subsection and paragraph numbers refer to PIP RES P003V, October
1997.

Section 1- Introduction

1.2 Scope
1.3.1 Service Conditions
Modify the sentences as follows:
c. Change Maximum Pumping Temperature to 120 °C (248 °F)
e. Add Maximum Power 750 kW (1000 HP)
1.3 Add the following new paragraphs:
1.3.1 This specification supplements the datasheets on which the operating
conditions and special requirements are listed in detail for each individual
pump.
1.3.2 Compliance with this specification does not relieve pump supplier of the
responsibility of furnishing pumps and accessories of proper design,
mechanically suited to meet operating guarantees at the specified service
conditions. Nor does it relieve pump supplier of the responsibility of
furnishing equipment assembled and prepared for shipment in a professional
manner.
1.3.3 Vendors qualified by experience manufacturing the proposed units shall
supply pumps. To qualify, the Vendor shall have manufactured at least two
(2) pumps of comparable size, model, power rating, and speed in similar

service as indicated in the individual specification and data sheets. These
pumps shall have completed at least 8000 h of continuous operation
satisfactorily.
1.3.4 Unless otherwise specified, the vendor shall assume unit responsibility for all
equipment and all auxiliary systems included in the scope of the order.
Section 4 – Basic Design
4.1 General

4.1.2.1 Add the following new paragraph:
Equipment covered in this specification shall be designed to operate in the
conditions stated on the data sheets. Unless otherwise specified, the
maximum sound levels shall be 85 dBA at 1 m from the equipment surface.
4.5 Impellers
Modify the paragraph as follows:
Solid hubs on impellers are required. Impellers made from a cored hub shall require
SABIC approval.

Section 5 – Accessories
5.1 Drivers
5.1.12 Add the following new paragraphs:
a. Electric motor drives shall conform to SES E06-S01 or E06-S02 as
applicable
b. Steam turbine drivers shall conform to SES G06-S01
Section 6 – Inspection, Testing and Preparation for Shipment
6.1.1 Modify the paragraph as follows:
Requirements for Inspection, testing, witnessing and observing shall be as
specified on the pump data sheets.
6.1.7 Add the following new paragraph:
